THE PRACTICE

Our Practice

At the Medical Healing Center we provide adult primary care with an emphasis on holistic medicine.  We utilize traditional allopathic medical treatments, as well as offer homeopathic, integrated, and complementary approaches.  We have been in practice over 16 years and have many success stories with chronically ill patients.

We believe that one must integrate the mind, body, and spirit in order to achieve the best health state possible.  We take care of the "whole" person.  It is our belief that the combination of traditional Western or Allopathic medicine as well as complementary and Integrative homeopathic treatments can result in the best possible health outcomes.

We offer a holistic/functional approach to healing provided through integrative medicine. We shift the principal treatment focus away from symptoms to evaluating immunopathologies, functional imbalances, vitamin and nutritional deficiencies, genetic predispositions, toxic exposures, detox pathologies, the body terrain, and any occurring pathogenicities. We also evaluate emotional traumas, brain imbalances, and energetic imbalances. Throughout this healing process, the spiritual realm of the body is supported. When these are corrected, the body begins to function optimally to relieve symptoms and restore health.

Our Story

After many years in the traditional healthcare system as a Registered Nurse and seeing patients getting worse instead of better, Angela Myers opted to seek a more natural approach to healing.  After becoming an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), she wanted to make a difference in chronically ill patients and knew traditional medicine alone was not working.  In 1999, Angela opened The Medical Healing Center to provide Tallahassee and surrounding areas with a truly holistic approach to healthcare.  A place that treats the whole person-mind, body and spirit. Where every person has individual needs and there is not a one size fits all mentality. We believe that each person should have individualized care. Our goal is to get each patient to their highest functioning state.

We are vastly different from a standard General Health care practice - we use everything from traditional medicine and integrative and complementary theraphies to IV vitamin therapy and diet combinations. Here we treat the whole person which helps to balance the patient mind, body, and spirit.

Aleksandra Deibel, MD
Aleksandra Deibel MD (Dr. Ola for short) is a Board Certified Family Physician (2012) and practices Functional Medicine.  Dr. Ola’s professional interests are in disease prevention as well as discovering and remedying the root causes of chronic illness.
Dr. Ola is new to Tallahassee having moved from Wichita Kansas where she spent the last 4 years working in holistic and integrative medicine.

She recognizes that every person is unique in his or her biochemistry and genetic makeup and the ‘one size fits all’ model of conventional medicine does not always apply to healing and resolution of disease.  Functional medicine is individualized, patient-centered, and science-based.  The first office visit generally begins with a thorough personal health and lifestyle history and depending on the specific needs of the individual laboratory testing may be ordered.  Dr. Ola partners and collaborates with her patients to evaluate for the root cause of the health issue and not just treat symptoms.   She may use diet, lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs, or medication as methods of treatment and seeks the safest and gentlest approach to restore the body to balance.  She is also trained in Prolozone Injection Therapy by Dr. Robert Rowen MD (2014).

Dr. Ola completed her Family Medicine residency at Quillen College of Medicine in East Tennessee State University and received her medical degree at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Institute of Functional Medicine.  Dr. Ola is also a Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher (RYT 200) and member of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association.
